Momentum's Mission
is to enrich the human spirit through dance; inspire with performance; empower by education; and foster creativity, self-esteem, and discipline. It is our goal to cultivate life-long advocates of the arts by providing high-quality dance instruction, diverse and family-friendly programming, accessible programing for all individuals of all socio/economic backgrounds, and provide outreach to inspire and enrich our local communities.
• EDUCATION: We offer pre professional perforance based dance instruction for ages 3-adult in Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Irish, Jazz and Tap.
• COMMUNITY OUTREACH: Momentum provides outreach reach to the Burien, Renton, Des Moines, and Seattle senior community by offering performances at local area senior living residences.
• ARTS ACCESS SCHOLARSHIPS: MDA grants full and partial scholarships to individuals who need tuition assistance. In the 2023-2024 academic year, we provided over $30,000 in scholarships to those in need.
• YOUTH MENTOR & LEADERSHIP: We offer our teen students opportunities to learn leadership skills and behind-the-scenes management of arts programs.
